This is a 60 or 48cm tall stand made of clear Perspex designed to be fitted with LED 30cm bar lights, you can add up to 2 stands on top of it giving you a total growing height of 2m.

It can be configured in many ways depending on your plant and space requirements. As you can see by the pictures, its main use is to grow either one herb plant e.g. as seen in Pic.1 this is mint being grown in a squat 200 mm diameter pot, or you can grow 2 Herbs as long as they do not spread out e.g. chives, garlic chives, as seen in Pic.2. In these 2 situations the plants are using 2x30cm blue dominant white lights, if you wanted to grow say a chilli or strawberry or tomato ie fruiting plants, then you would choose the red dominant 30cm lights.

If you want to use the system to grow sprouts or a larger plant, such as tomatoes then you would choose one of the other base kits, or if you change your mind you can buy the extras at a later stage as the category pictures shows.

One particularly simple way of using this herb garden is to just purchase 1 or 2 of the 200 mm diameter round trays, see below, then just bring your herb home from the markets and place in the trays under the lights and nibble away until finished and then replace, or you can buy one of the larger pots or use your own, grow from seed or transplant.

·          the frame can be moved up and down as the plant grows, it can also be rotated to match the plants growing position or to make use of a reflective wall behind

·       The horizontal frame that supports the lights can hold up to 4 x 3cmW Bar lights or 1 x 11cmW  Bar light.

·       The frame can be moved up and down as the plant grows, it can also be rotated to match the plants growing position or to make use of a reflective wall behind(3cmW Bar lights).

·       The system is totally modular, meaning you can start from any of the base kits and by adding extra parts change it into just about any configuration you can imagine.

·       The system comes with insect traps (placed around the base of the plant, this will control those small insects that are attracted to dead and decaying matter).
