Automatic Waterring & Water Restrictions. Is the automatic watering system able to be used with water restrictions. Firstly, the automatic watering system that we supply is the most efficient system available, the reason being is, not only a drip system but more importantly it supplies water directly to the root system which minimises loss via evaporation. The system comprises a tank with water sensor/valves that are placed in the water reservoir of self watering pots and boxes. If the level of water restriction still allows you to hand water your plants than as long as you fill up your tank in the same way that you are allowed to water your plants then you are okay. Obviously if you have a rainwater tank then you can do what you want to, but still this is the most efficient use of a most valuable resource.
