Omega 3 the Budwig way - Dr. Johanna Budwig spent 40 years
researching and curing people of many forms of cancer in Germany using
a combination of cottage cheese mixed with linseed oil, as you will see from
the articles. She found that the wonders of the Omega 3 fatty
acids contained in linseed oil are only truly utilised by a sick body when they
are mixed with cottage cheese. A simple recipe is to purchase a
500g=500mls tub of low-fat cottage cheese, empty this into a appropriate
container mix with 200mls of cold pressed organic linseed/flaxseed oil, and
about four heaped desert spoons of Jalna biodynamic full cream yogurt, then
using a mixing wand, mix thoroughly until there is no visible trace of the
oil(the formulae is by volume, 1 part oil to 2 parts cottage cheese). Of course
many other interesting flavours can be added at this stage to create a vast
array of taste sensations. If you would like to make it more runny, so you can
pour it over the salad then just add a couple of spoonful’s and mix with
your standard salad dressing until you get the desired consistency. The
good thing about not adding herb type flavours is that you can also use it on
your muesli in the morning. If your need is great, i.e. you're
facing a life threatening disease, then I suggest you follow Budwig’s
protocol to the letter. However if you
just want to make sure that your intake of omega-3 is optimal for a healthy
lifestyle than this is what I do. Basic Method - I have not got around to making my own
cottage cheese and do not want to use the processed products with their
additives. I mix up 1ltr of the Jalna biodynamic full cream yogurt
that also contains organic honey, Fig.1 using a hand-held
electric mixer, 1kg Yoghurt, 100mls of Org. Linseed oil 50mls of Org.
Sesame seed oil(which is also rich in the compounds that make the Omega-3 more
bio-available), Fig.2, I also add 50g of ground Linseed , I
grind myself and add immediately to the mix. The Linseed meal also
serves the function of making the mix become a little thicker and easier to
spread, a great butter substitute. Because you're not having the milk
solids ie cottage cheese then you reduce the amount of Flax seed oil. I find
this mixture to be extremely yummy and can be used on your sandwiches in your
muesli and as a ice cream substitute, or just a snack, when you're standing
there looking into your fridge feeling a bit peckish. Making your own Yoghurt - if you wish to make your own you can
add the benefits of an additional 13+ probiotic bacteria and also use organic
milk, for full description of this process see this link http://www.livingapartment.com.au/Examples-Tips/Budwig-Yoghurt Extract - “When you mix together ... cottage cheese and
linseed oil in your blender the fat becomes water-soluble” and thereby
immediately available for use by the body. In this manner, the necessary “spark
plugs” are provided for cells to “breathe”, optimally detoxify and function,
even more so when additionally combining the flax oil cottage cheese mix with
an optimised sugar-free diet devoid of respiratory poisons [substances which
inhibit cellular respiration] but containing much raw organic food (compare
excerpts from Dr. Budwig’s Flax Oil As A True Aid and Nutrition page)”. (for more info. on Dr Budwig see http://www.healingcancernaturally.com/budwig_protocol.html)

muesli, where it is mixed in and soaked overnight, making the whole combination
even more bio-available for a very quick most nutritious breakfast. (for more

Fig.4, shows this wonderful mix being used
as a substitute, ie here is being spread on flat bread prior to adding your
beautiful salad mix. (for more info. see Salad Preparation and Storage
