As Hippocrates said “Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food”, well we now have the luxury of taking this philosophy to new heights. So what do we mean:-
Sprouts already have an abundance of nutrients, however just to make sure that by eating your sprouts you are going to receive the widest possible spread of minerals and trace elements, we feed our sprouts a collection of specially chosen organic substances, so that you will miss nothing, giving you the most comprehensive & easily absorbed Vitamin & Mineral supplement available. Why, because these minerals & nutrients have been brought back to life i.e. into a form your body understands.
The idea of eating sprouts whether it be Wheatgrass, Snow Pea, Lentils, Alfalfa or Fenugreek etc, is primarily that these seeds have gathered a wide range of nutritious resources and stored them inside the seed, the sprouting process, turns these resources from potential energy into living kinetic energy, a form much more easily absorbed by the body.
We have selected 4 natural ingredients that we add to our sprouting process, below we explain what they are, and why we have chosen them. You will find that growing sprouts like this not only tastes better, they last longer and are much more nutritionally superior than sprouts grown just in water or soil.
Liquid Seaweed with Potassium Humate. This liquid seaweed concentrate (NASAA Certified) is made from storm carst kelp freshly collected on the coast of Tasmania. Kelp is the grass of the sea-world; it contains many of the micro-nutrients necessary to sustain life. This seaweed is extracted at lower temperatures than other products, it also contains humic acid which is a mined substance, that is somewhere between peat and brown coal, containing a rich abundance of prehistoric minerals and trace elements, a BFA approved product. So whatever you are growing with this product, especially if it’s a vegetable that you eat, you will be getting a rich spread of micro-nutrients and trace elements from the sea and from prehistoric pristine vegetation.
Seaweeds are bio-accumulators of trace elements in the sea and their composition depends on the age of the seaweed, the seaweed used in this product is typically 12 to 15 months old. Humate has the ability to “chelate” minerals in water that passes through it, this makes them more available to the plant roots. Apart from the abundance of trace elements this product is particularly rich in Iodine, Magnesium and Iron. Liquid Seaweed
AZOMITE is a mineral and trace element supplement for plants and animals, it is a volcanic ash mined from a 30 million year old volcanic deposit. It is not a typical rock dust. It is a very complicated product in the sense that it contains 67 + chemical elements, most in an oxide form along with trace and rare earth minerals. This product has been subjected to rigorous testing and has been approved for use in large-scale Organic Plant and Livestock production in the US. Azomite-450g
DOLOMITE. This is finely crushed limestone which is rich in Magnesium, around 38%, the rest is Calcium and other trace elements, when mixed with water this substance creates a very alkaline environment, this is particularly useful when sprouting as it reduces the development of mould, which cannot tolerate an alkaline environment. Magnesium Chloride. The importance of this element in the health of the body cannot be overstated. The highest quality Magnesium available, this ancient mineral is extracted from the lower layers of the Zechstein prehistoric sea(250 million years old), you mix this in with the liquid seaweed. It can also be used as a salt substitute i.e. mix with water & spray on your food or transdermally i.e. rub on your skin or use in a foot bath. Magnesium is the central atom in the Chlorophyll molecule, which has almost the same structure as Haemoglobin i.e. the red blood cell, another reason why greens are a must. Our claim:-
this is the best & cheapest multi-vitamin & mineral supplement available,
can be summed up in 3 points.
1:- by the time that you eat them the sprouts contain the richest and most diverse spread of elements and trace minerals that you could possibly wish for.
2:- these are being presented to your body in a living form meaning your body is going to absorb everything that it requires, unlike dried and dead supplements contained in pills, much of which passes straight through your body.
3:- because these mineral supplements are agricultural products(except for the magnesium chloride), they are many thousand times cheaper than vitamin and minerals supplements that you may purchase for human consumption, the irony being that once nature transforms them back into a living food they become many thousand times more absorbable by the body.
So Where to Begin?
The simplest way to start is with our Loose Sprouting Kit (Alfalfa, Fenugreek, Broccoli, Lentils, Mung Bean etc), it is not only the best, most complete but also the cheapest kit on the market. I have a continuous supply of a bag of sprouts in the fridge a mix of Alfalfa, Fenugreek, Radish and Broccoli while the lot is growing, so I have a 3 day gap between starting a new batch. see- Loose Sprouting Kit Small or Loose Sprouting Kit Full
Your Passion Is Green Salad?
Then the Snow Pea/Field Pea Sprouting Kit is the way to go, replanting 3 of our shallow round or 1 rectangular sprout trays once a week, which will take you about 12 minutes, will mean you will always have the bulk of your green salad available, at your fingertips, no washing, at a moment’s notice, not to mention their nutritional value, as previously explained. The process of growing these Greens is exactly the same as growing Wheat or Barley grass, it can also be used to grow Cress, Mustard, Sunflower etc. a micro-green supernova. Personally I mainly do Snow peas & Radish using rectangular trays in IVG-S2.
You Have an Illness or You Want the One Stop Shop?
Then Wheatgrass is Supreme, because this is a grass and you have to juice it, then the quantity and potency of healing nutrition is much more than you could possibly eat. In addition to this it also has strong cleansing effects. Wheat-Grass-Benefits
I have a Wheatgrass juice every afternoon I combine it with Carrot, Beet root, Pear, Garlic, Ginger, Kombucha, Slippery-Elm, Psyllium and some Grape juice, I have created this little concoction not only because I believe it’s good for me but it is quite enjoyable and the reality is, if it was not enjoyable I would be less likely to do it. Another way of doing this especially if you haven't got the time to do it once a day is to do say 6 trays or an juice altogether along with mixing them with lemon juice and honey and make a pile of ice blocks, I did have 2 of these in warm water as a morning drink very refreshing and cleansing.
