The Indoor Vegetable Garden – Series 3 (IVG-S3) a highly flexible Light stand.

This is a custom designed LED light support frame, made of clear Perspex designed to be fitted with LED 60 cm bar lights, either vertically or horizontally, you can add up to 3 stands on top of it giving you a total growing height of 2.4m. Stands can be joined together with horizontal bracing e.g. allowing you to have vertical lights on either side of the plants and horizontal lights at the top.

It can be configured in many ways; its main use is when combined with an external planter box to grow tomatoes or other tallish, generally climbing plants, such as capsicum, cucumber, zucchini etc.

You start with 1 of the 2 Base Kits then choose the lights to match.

Base Kit 1 is a single level stand, 60 cm tall with 3 crossbars (the base stands have an extra crossbar for stability). You can attach up to 4X (60 cm long, 3 cm wide bar lights) to these crossbars and they can be swivelled 60°. As can be seen in the picture the lights can be attached so they extend above the stand, so you can have  plants up to 1 m tall from this single stand. For taller plants you will need extra stands on top.

Base Kit 2 is 2 stands with an extra stand on top of each and they are joined by 1 cross brace. It also comes with a set of brackets to attach horizontal lights above the plants as well as the vertical lights on the side. Generally this will be the 60cm long by 11cm wide bar lights above (with an extra set of brackets you can add 2 of these lights above the plants and they can also be offset for more even coverage) see Pic.2. Generally you would mount the cross braces at the rear so as to give you best access to the plants ie assuming the positioning of the stand is against a wall. Pic.1 shows where multiple stands have been joined together. The cross brace and light brackets at the top can both be adjusted in sync, the wider setting is so you can fit 2 tomato tower pots in between the 2 stands.

Pic.1 also shows how reflective sheets can be added to the sides of the stand.

Pic.2 shows 2 stands (2 levels high) where they have been joined together and 2X (60 cm long, 11 cm wide bar lights) have been mounted at the top and another 2 of the same lights have been added vertically at the sides, normally you would add the narrower lights here but this picture just illustrates the possibility of adding these wider lights. The wider lights hang from the top and then from each other, you can hang one set from each bracket i.e. 2 vertically side by side.
