Features:-

-      The addition of the HPS (High Pressure Sodium) is for 2 reasons. Some plants like radiant heat, the 2nd is what we call trace elements, see below.

-      3 switches, 1 for Red LEDs, 1 for Blue LEDs, 1 for the HPS. This is most likely used to delay switching the Red LEDs on until the plants are ready to flower.

-      On-board timer ie does not need external timer.

The beauty of using LED growlights is the fact that you can target the frequencies that plants use to get most of their energy from, however plants also use other frequencies to fuel various reactions, but plants are adaptive organisms, meaning that if they are missing a particular frequency they can use the energy from other frequencies to perform the functions that they need, albeit probably not as efficiently. This is why we include white LEDs in most of our LED growlight designs because to produce a white light you need to cover a wide range of spectrums.

So another way to do this is to include an HPS light which is a warm white light and is used to promote the flower and fruiting stage of plant development, in the older type growlight solutions this light has often been used in conjunction with metal-halide lamps, which produce more energy in the blue end of the spectrum. So being a white light it covers a lot of frequencies, i.e. the trace element frequencies, it also has quite a bit of energy in the 630nm red area, meaning we do not have to supplement this with LEDs it also produces radiant heat, summer is here message, but not so much that you have to worry about cooling systems for the plant.

All lights go through a minimum of 48-hour burn-in testing.
