45 x 2W LED growlight.
These lamps consist of 45 x 2watt high-intensity LEDs -> Red (30x665nm, 4x630nm) + Blue(7x460nm, 4xWh), they are designed to fit the colour spectrum required for plant growth, with a mix of 630 and 660nm Red, along with Blue and White, this light will give good results especially in the flowering and fruiting stages.
Features of this light.
- 2 modes of operation- what this means is that there are 2 switches, each of which controls one half of the LEDs. One group contains all of the red LEDs, the other group contains a mix of blue and red LEDs. Typical use of this feature would be to have the half of the LEDs with the blue and red on during the early stages of growth i.e. the vegative stage where a higher ratio of blue light is required also energy-saving as not as much intensity is required at this stage as the plant is obviously a lot smaller. When the plant is ready to flower & fruit, switch in the 2nd half which increases the intensity and ratio to a red dominant light tailored for flowering in fruiting.
- Reliability- this light now comes with spare power supplies all the components are high quality, and all the components are connected using connectors, i.e. not solder or crimped, what this means is that if there is a failure of one of the components it is a very simple and easy process to replace. The reason we have included 2 spare power supplies and one spare fan driver is that you have peace of mind, if the LEDs are still working well after 6 months then they will still be working at above 80% efficiency for a minimum of 30,000 hours some people claim between 50 - 100,000 hours but this is more an MTBF. Anyway the point is if anything is going to fail in the next 10 years it will be one of these 3 components so putting these extra pieces in does not raise the price a huge amount but gives you peace of mind. And to be honest who knows whether we will be able to get them in 3 years time, companies change product design so quickly these days.
- The LEDs used come from the Taiwan company Epistar, one of the top manufacturers of LED chips in the world. Each LED has its own protection diode The purpose is, if one LED fails the other LEDs can still work normally.
- The LEDs are welded onto an aluminium backing plate ensuring good heat dissipation.
- The LEDs are spread out, again allowing for good heat dissipation.
The White LEDs, which have most of their energy divided between the blue(440nm) & orange end of the spectrum, as can be seen by the graph for the white LED light, the main reason we included these was that, they give energy to the 440nm chlorophyll peak & a sprinkling of frequencies right across the light spectrum, including as you can see in the orange part of the spectrum, that’s why they appear white, these frequencies appear to be like trace elements, as they are only needed in small amounts.
The physical dimensions of the light are (27D x 6H)cm.
All lights go through a minimum of 48-hour burn-in testing.
Lights have a one-year warranty.
