Small pot kit ideal for growing salad herbs or potted colour on a window ledge or under lights.
Kit includes
- 3 x(130mm diameter, 110mm tall) self watering pots with individual reservoirs, in a choice of four colours,
- a rectangular terracotta coloured tray(470x155mm OS).
- 2lts of high quality organic potting mix made from a combination of different types of peat and sphagnum moss, trace elements and a blend of organic ingredients.
- 1ltr of loose Coco fibre, the main growing medium is the organic potting mix, this coconut fibre is used to cover the seeds, makes this process a whole lot simpler and more effective, fibre also acts as a mulch.
- 100ml of concentrated Organic fertiliser specifically designed for the plant during its leaf development stage, perfect for salad greens.
These pots are ideal for growing small individual plants. If you are growing leafy greens under lights or on a sunny window ledge. Removing the base reservoir and using the supplied tray will make it much easier for you, not only to keep an eye on the water level, but it also makes it much easier to add water when required. If you have ever tried growing small pot plants on a sunny window ledge you will be all too aware of this problem, using this tray as a common water reservoir for the three pots greatly alleviates this problem. If you are growing African violets in a shaded environment then you will only need to water them once a week and you will probably choose to leave the round base reservoir in place.
The trays require a ledge of 140mm width, they will also sit comfortably on our stainless steel stand which also requires a ledge width of 140mm. If you want to make maximum use of a sunny window ledge then using the stainless steel stand with 2 shelves will give you plenty of room to grow six pots of colour or salad greens.
