If you already have a tank and would like to add either additional sensors to your planter box or add new planter boxes/pots, this kit will give you 10 extra irrigation sensor valves. Most likely you will already have enough tube so selecting this option along with the tank irrigation extras will give you all you need to add an extra 10 auto watered stations.
The valves open and shut depending on the presence of moisture we recommend their use inside the reservoir of self watering pots, they can also be used in the soil in the garden but we do not recommended their use in the soil when used in pots. It lets your plants water themselves, it saves water because it only provides water when it's needed.
The part of the valve that expands and contracts with the presence or absence of moisture will degrade over time, when growing plants in pots you should change the potting mix at least every second season at this stage we recommend you replace the sensor/valves. To make this as easy as possible just post them back to us (small postal cost to you) and we will replace the part and post them back you free of charge.
