A revolutionary new way of watering your plants. At the heart of the system is a moisture sensing valve. The valves open and shut depending on the presence of moisture we recommend their use inside the reservoir of self watering pots, used in this way it is the most efficient watering system available, the reason being is, that not only is it a drip system but more importantly it supplies water directly to the root system which minimises loss via evaporation. It lets your plants water themselves, it saves water because it only provides water when it's needed. The sensor/valves can also be used in the soil in the garden but we do not recommended their use in the soil when used in pots. OK with water restrictions as long as you fill the Tank by hand or during permitted watering times.
The part of the valve that expands and contracts with the presence or absence of moisture will degrade over time, when growing plants in pots you should change the potting mix at least every second season at this stage we recommend you replace the sensor/valves. To make this as easy as possible just post the sensors back to us (small postal cost to you) and we will replace the part and post them back you free of charge(while stocks last).
We include stainless-steel screws and wall grommets for attaching to a brick wall or wood fence, or you can simply place it on a shelf or table, as long as it is higher then the sensors or any part of the connecting tube. Or choose from our range of attachment options - see below.
