This kit allows you to adjust the level of your planter box/pots(essential if you are going to use self watering containers) when you have a railing with vertical or horizontal steel bars. It does this by spanning the gap between the two bars. Use this kit if you have horizontal bars or you can't align your brackets with the vertical bars, which can be difficult if you are going to use the shelf option which then gives you a set width ie 520mm. The aluminium bar has PVC padded material to protect paintwork.
