Our latest creation is this Patent pending plant stand made of clear Perspex so that the maximum amount of light penetrates through to the plants. The stand measurements are 640mm tall, 350mm wide & 200mm deep.

In its standard configuration it comes with 3 shelves, which are designed to hold the shallow rectangular plant trays, if you are using our self-watering pots to grow Snow peas sprouts, Wheatgrass or small salad greens such as Rocket lettuce, next to a sunny window, then the standard 3 shelf is perfect for this (top two pictures). If you would like to grow taller plants, then you need only use 2 shelves, we have endeavoured to make this stand flexible, to cater for all your possible growing conditions.

Now because it is 200mm deep it may be a little bit wide to place on a window shelf directly, so we recommend you place it on a table next to the window (see our stainless steel plant stand which is designed to fit a window ledge of smaller dimensions).

If you would like to grow in the rectangular trays themselves, then because of the smaller vertical dimensions of the growing container ie tray versus self-watering pot, then it is possible to add an extra shelf (see below for extra shelf option) and use 4 trays, as seen in the third picture from the top where the 574mm rectangular trays are being used to grow wheatgrass.

By early March 2010 we hope to release the light option (see bottom picture where we are growing 3 levels of Snowpea, to grow peas as a sprout they need to have lots of light otherwise you will get too much stalk development as they streak up looking for more light). The thin LED lights will slot into the existing shelf, you choose the number of lights depending on the plant & its stage of growth, you will have the option of growing 2, 3 or 4 shelves under low-power LED lights, the design and configuration is such that you keep the plants very close to the lights, therefore requiring minimal power, one shelf will be equivalent to the popular aero system being shown on TV at the moment, but you will have the option of 4 shelves.

The stand comes flat packed, and is easily assembled using stainless steel fixtures, all you require is an adjustable spanner, or a 7/16"(11mm)spanner, if you don't have either of these then you can purchase one, see below.
