Plants Under Lights |

Reasons why you may choose to grow your vegetables indoors under lights.
1- You may not have an accessible sunny window ledge or you may not have enough of them. I have a kitchen window ledge that gets good sun in summer but very little in winter.
2- You may have a large family or like me like lots of salad so you can easily turn a bookshelf into your own personal salad farm.
3- growing vegetables inside is very convenient and free from animal and insect competition (you do not have to check every leaf or wash it for that matter, before you add it to your salad), growing under lights gives you flexibility as to where you do it with limited space, and growth rates are not affected by season, making having an indoor garden that much easier.
4- Using the latest low wattage, high intensity LED grow lights, gives you even more options as it is now not only much cheaper to run, they can also be used to grow vegetables to flower & fruit in very short periods of time. eg Tomatoes, Strawberries etc.
Below you will find categories which contain our Indoor Vegetable Garden (IVG) series of growing systems, and below that you will find a category that contains all the various LED grow lights that we supply, we have collected them all in one place in case you would like to just build your own system, but please have a look at the IVG series, as we have put a lot of design and thought into making these systems as versatile and functional as possible.
1- IVG-Series 1
This growing system is based around the use of 30 cm long lights and is a great solution for one or 2 Herbs per shelf or 2 round 200mm diameter sprout trays it can be expanded vertically i.e. 3 Shelfs up to 1.8 m high each shelf comes in heights of either 60 cm or 48 cm.
2- IVG-Series 2
This growing system is based around the use of 60cm long lights, although it can also be used with the shorter 30 cm lights as well, although in the majority of situations if you wanted to use the shorter lights then IVG-Series 1 is the best solution. When using the longer 60 cm lights each shelf can be used to grow up to 3 pots of Herbs, 3 round 200mm diameter sprout trays or the more efficient 475/575mm rectangular sprout trays.
Both these growing systems can be used to grow similar things e.g. short-term Micro-greens or sprouts, pots of Herbs, or even 1 or 2 large plants such as tomatoes. IVG- Series 1 has a slightly more elegant design but IVG- Series 2, can be expanded on and added to in more ways, making it the total functional solution for the tiniest spot i.e. in a bookshelf or up to 1.8m tall cascading system growing combinations of sprouts and herbs.

 |
 |
The Indoor Vegetable Garden – Series 1 The (IVG-S1) is an extremely versatile and modula growing system allowing you to achieve a wide range of gardening results. It is designed to support 1 or 2 x 200mm diameter round trays per shelf, these can contain 1 or 2 plants or can be used for sprouting Micro-Greens. Also if you don't have enough natural light you have the option of mounting lights above or vertically on the sides this can be useful when you have a tallish plant, where lighting only from above can mean that the growth at the lower levels is retarded.
