This growing system is the most space & power efficient way of growing your salad greens. This lighting kit is designed to go with the shallow self watering pot sprouting kits(i.e. perfect for Snow Peas, Cress, Mustard, Wheatgrass etc). The idea is that you have 3 pots germinating (not requiring light) 3 pots in their early growth stage on the top shelf and another 3 pots in their final stage of growth on the bottom shelf.

Alternatively the top shelf can be used to grow short sprouts such as Cress, Mustard and Fenugreek, while the lower shelf is used to grow taller plants such as Wheatgrass Snow Peas etc.

Another way of using it, as illustrated in the bottom picture, is where you grow the seedlings in the top shelf with 2x7w LED globes, not using lenses but using a reflective panel for even light distribution, and the more mature plants under the 7 W globes on the bottom shelf, which are using lenses to concentrate the light intensity.
The kit contains:-a stainless steel stand with two shelves, 4x chrome clamp lamps, 4x7W White LED globes, and 2x sticky insect traps, 1x reflective panel)
The bulbs will last approximately 7.5 years at 18 hours a day.
