Seeds for Sprouting

A range of seeds we have collected primarily for sprouting e.g. Broccoli, Wheat, Barley, Alfalfa, Fenugreek, Cress, Mustard, Radish, Buckwheat, Snow Pea etc.. When we can get organic that's what we present to you, otherwise it is clean ie non-treated seed grown for sprouting.
During WW2 when the United States was concerned about a possible meat shortage, the scientific community advised the government that the consumption of germinated seeds was the best and the cheapest alternative to proteins in meat.
Sprouts contain an abundance of highly active anti-oxidants that prevent DNA destruction and protect us from the ongoing effects of aging.

Broccoli Seeds - Organic 150g

150g of Organic Broccoli seed for growing Broccoli Sprouts. Broccoli Sprouts have been found to have remarkable anti-cancer properties.

According to a recent article on Sprouts in the New Vegetarian and Natural Health magazine, it has been estimated that you would have to eat 1kg of broccoli each week to reduce the risk of colon cancer by 50% but broccoli sprouts have such a concentrated level of anti-cancer components that you need only have around 35g per week to get the same result.

This is the one that you see in supermarket packages, labelled as a Snow pea with just a couple of small leaves and a long stem, this is actually a Field pea, but labelled as Snow pea for obvious marketing reasons, nutritionally the same as snow pea the field pea has the advantage of being cheaper and is harvested from 1-2 weeks. Grown in Australia untreated but not organic.
