Amaranth Red Garnet Seeds - 100g |

 |
Amaranth Red Garnet seeds for
microgreens, baby leaf 100gm (USA) 90+% germ. If you’d like to add some rich red burgundy colour highlight to
your salad mix then Amaranth is a good choice. At first glance it looks
absurdly expensive however the seeds are very small and with very little weight
meaning that a small amount of seeds go a long way. They can be grown to
various stages, the longer you leave the less you need to plant, personally I
like to do an 11 day turnaround and plant them relatively densely as per the
pictures. The Brown Tray in the picture is 575 mm long and requires
approximately 5g of seeds to grow at this density, 3g for the Green trays. Red Garnet is a leaf variety grown for its colourful sprouts and
soft tasty young leaves. They are oval-heart shaped and medium green overlaid
with burgundy red. Baby leaves can be harvested 11 to 25 days after sowing.
Will grow up to several feet tall if grown past baby leaf stage. Used fresh and
for cooking. Plants grow very well in hot weather unlike many other greens.
Popular in Asia, Africa and the West Indies. Not available for
shipping to WA.
