There are basically 3 ways of growing snow peas, one is where you grow them densely together as a sprout and harvest them at 2-3 weeks, this method uses either a small amount of growing medium e.g. coco fibre or using one of our grills, which goes in the base of a round or rectangular tray, no growing medium is required.

The second method, is where you plant them in a deeper pot and allow them to grow to about 30 cm and then you start picking the top couple of leaves as they appear, this can be repeated for several months. 

The third method is to let the plant grow to seed and harvest the snow pea pods that you are familiar with, being a dwarf variety it will grow to 1-2m, obviously the density of the seeds being planted becomes less with each method. 

This is a most versatile plant & the abundance of nutritious leaves that melt in your mouth will give you a delicious nutritious base for any salad(also great to add to stir-fry). Feeding your snow peas with our concentrated liquid seaweed fertiliser ensures that you will be receiving a nutrient supplement in the most living available form. To do this you will require a sunny window, or use one of our low power light growing kits, and 12 minutes once a week for replanting, assuming you replant 1- 3 trays once per week.

We have also designed some Perspex pliers specifically for picking out suspect Snowpea or Fieldpea seeds. Select yes if you would like us to include them with your order, the default is no because obviously once you have one set then unless you lose them you don't need us to put them in every time.
