Chickpeas are low in fat, high in soluble fibre and rich in immune boosting Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, and Folate. Soluble fibre helps to eliminate cholesterol from the body. Chickpeas also contain vitamin E, potassium, iron, manganese, copper, zinc and calcium. As a high-potassium, low-sodium food they help reduce blood pressure. Many recipes for cooked chickpeas but can equally use sprouted chickpeas ready in 1 day. Soaking overnight in filtered water with liquid seaweed then rinse & drain, you can stop at this stage or do the same for 1 more day. Now allow them to drain & become dry to the touch then store in the fridge. Or just eat, if you want to keep growing, then no problems but stop adding the seaweed as it will start to stain the seeds & they won't look as appetising. See pictures for other uses, this is one of the easiest sprouts to grow it has a sweet nutty flavour when grown with our liquid seaweed.
Added to your sandwich or salad they add a delicious crunch & for me replace the desire for meat or fish, ie a key player in the quest to reduce your intake of meat/fish products
