Coco Fibre Compressed makes 48ltr |
|

 |
 |
4x0.65g makes 48 litres, the best quality coconut fibre we could find, it comes in a compressed format, just add water.
Unlike some other coconut fibres this has a fine texture without the large clumps of bark, it does have some fibros material this also makes it ideal for growing vegetables. It is easy to spread in a uniform manner, making it the perfect medium for growing all of the vertical sprouts such as Snow peas, Wheatgrass, Radish, Cress, Mustard, and Broccoli.
Also makes a great potting mix for annual plants e.g. Basil, Mint, Lettuce, Tomatoes etc
You can see from the table below how much a block will make and how far it will go with regard to the standard Sprout trays sizes, also how much water & seaweed you need to add, if you are going to use this inside then best not to add the seaweed fert. as it can get a bit smelly & attract fungal gnats.

I mix 1 block at a time then transfer to the larger container for storage, easier to mix 1 block at a time.
It is clean, ideal for growing indoors, 100% organic & free of any chemical additives, it is also free of harmful viruses sometimes found in soil based potting mixes. The best results, especially for vertical sprouts.
Things to remember:-
When selecting a bucket or container make sure it is a little larger than the block size e.g. a standard round bucket is 9ltr but I would recommend the square type which is 12ltr, which is ideal for the 0.65kg/8ltr block.
When you look at the block of Coco Fibre you will see that it is layered, place in the bucket so that the layers are horizontal with bottom of the bucket and slowly pour water on top of the block from above.
Place 1 block in a 10/12 ltr bucket (2 blocks / 20ltr), each block will expand to 8 ltrs.
Make 1 litr of (5ml of seaweed, 30ml + Magnesium solution(200gm/0.5Ltr) + 900ml water) or an easier way if you have another bucket is to mix up 3 ltrs (20ml of seaweed + 90ml Magnesium solution + 2.8Ltr water), it doesn’t have to be exact.
You can add 1 flat desert spoon of Dolomite + Azomite per litre or you can mix it into a spice jar & add to the base of the tray or do both. I mix it with the liquid then I don’t have to remember.
Now slowly add half the liquid, leave it for 5 mins then turn the block over, then add the rest, leave for another 5mins, then mix thoroughly by hand if there are any dry bits just add a little bit of water to each clump. You want it reasonably wet so you don’t have to add water for 4 days after planting.
