This electronic insect trap may seem a little bit expensive approximately $115 with shipping, but it is a very good design and well worth the money.

It is equally at home outside or when you go camping as it comes with a built in Rechargeable battery and a 240v to 12v adaptor + an in car charge kit.

I will be discussing its use inside the house, as a solution for fungal gnats, that may appear when you are growing plants indoors, however it is just as effective against those summer moths and any other flying insects.

Because it comes with a battery you can leave it in a particular spot where it is plugged in to the power, to briefly move it to another room, just unplug it and switch it to battery mode, leaving it on overnight will generally capture most of the insects in that room that can fly.

Again the beauty of this product is that you do not leave it on all the time you just switch it on during the night when you notice flying insects of whatever description, one or two nights will generally fix this problem.

Unlike other products this does not electrocute the insects or poison them with insecticides, what it does is capture the insects into a compartment from which they cannot escape. Here you have two options, either empty the chamber when it fills up or, which is my preference, simply take it outside and release the insects back to nature.
