This kit contains 2x1.5ltr Colanders, the drainage chamber of one colander can be placed on top of the other set, thus giving the benefits of an aerated lid ie if you are worried about creepy crawlies wandering through your sprouts while you are not there. Or use our clear covers, they also allow for stacking. (see below)

The beauty of using these colanders, apart from their many other uses when not sprouting, is that it is very easy to separate the husks from the seed.

We have also raised the lip of the insert slightly so as to allow greater air circulation ie from underneath, from the sides & from above, the clip has 2 uses, it gives 2 gap sizes to maximize air flow & it holds the cover in place. (see close-up pic).

All explained in the included instruction sheet, where we also explain how to keep your sprouts fresh for up to 2 weeks when stored in the fridge, this is a big bonus because you only have to do the sprouting process twice a month & still have fresh sprouts on hand all the time. We recommend the addition of a few drops of seaweed to the soak solution, improves germination & trace elements from the seaweed are absorbed by the sprouts.
